Description
On June 14, 2025, a Kenya Air Force (KAF) Grob 120A trainer aircraft, registration KAF 718, crashed in the Ndavaya region of Kwale County. The fixed-wing aircraft was conducting a training flight when it experienced an emergency approximately 27 minutes after departing Mombasa at 11:39 am. The aircraft disappeared from radar near Diani and impacted the ground at 12:06 pm near Mwakijembe Primary School. Both pilots on board were killed in the accident. Kenya Defence Forces crash investigators have been deployed to determine the cause of the incident, which results in the loss of one G120A airframe.
