Description
A Royal Thai Air Force AT-6TH Wolverine light attack aircraft from Wing 41 crashed in Huai Fang village, Chom Thong district, Chiang Mai province during a combat search-and-rescue training mission. Both pilots, including Squadron Leader Samatcha Khunmat (flight instructor) and his co-pilot, were killed. Local residents reported hearing two loud explosions before the aircraft burst into flames. The aircraft (serial 41105) was part of 411 Squadron and had been delivered in November 2024. The RTAF commander ordered an immediate investigation into the cause of the accident.
