Description
Changsha Datuopu Airport, also known as Datuopu Air Base, is a military air base located in Changsha, Hunan province, China. It was opened in 1957. From its opening until August 29, 1989, it operated as a dual-use military and civil airport, handling civil flights for Changsha. On August 29, 1989, all civil flights were transferred to the newly opened Changsha Huanghua International Airport, and Datuopu Airport subsequently reverted to sole military use. The air base has a single paved runway.
