Description
Chlef International Airport, also known as Aboubakr Belkaid Airport, is located five kilometers north of Chlef. During World War II, the facility was designated as Warnier Airfield and functioned as a base of operations for the Twelfth Air Force during the North African Campaign against the German Afrika Korps.
The facility currently operates as a public airport. Air Algérie conducts scheduled flights to Algiers, Marseille, and Paris-Charles de Gaulle. ASL Airlines France provides seasonal service to Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Navigation infrastructure at the installation includes an on-field VOR/DME station (Ident: CLF).
