Description

Raja Nahar Singh Faridabad Air Force Logistics Station (RAFLS), also known as 54 ASP, is a logistics base of the Indian Air Force's Western Air Command (WAC). It is located in the Dabua colony of Faridabad city in Haryana, India. The station is headed by a Logistics Group Captain and houses the Guard Dog Training Unit and the 56th Air Storage Park. An air force logistics base was established at Faridabad after India's independence in 1947. The Western Air Command, which includes this logistics station, has been involved in various conflicts and operations, such as the Indo-Pakistani War of 1947, Sino-Indian War in 1962, Indo-Pakistani War of 1965, Indo-Pakistan War of 1971, Operation Pawan in Sri Lanka, Operation Safed Sagar during the 1999 Kargil War, and ongoing air logistics operations for troops at Siachen Glacier. The facility's operations are supported by its technical and logistics wing, responsible for the supply and storage of spares and consumables. In addition to this logistics base, the Indian Air Force also maintains two firing ranges, Range 1 and Range 2, at Tilpat within Faridabad.
