Description
Huxian Airport, located in Huyi District, Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, China, has a history of military use. During World War II, it was known as Huhsien (Yuehhsien) Airfield and served the United States Army Air Forces Fourteenth Air Force as part of the China Defensive Campaign from 1942 to 1945. Currently, the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) operates the airport as a military base, referred to as Xi'an Air Base. The airport features one runway, designated 08/26, which has a concrete surface.
