Description
Jamnagar Airport, also known as Civil Enclave Jamnagar, is a domestic airport and an Indian Air Force base located in Jamnagar, Gujarat, India. It is owned by the Indian Air Force but permits both commercial and private flights, making it a dual-use facility. It is the only airport in Gujarat with two runways. The airport's terminal is spread over 35 acres with a capacity to handle 150 passengers. The parking apron can accommodate two Airbus A320s simultaneously. In April 2015, a C-17 Globemaster of the Indian Air Force was dispatched from Jamnagar Airport to Djibouti for the evacuation of Indian nationals from Yemen.
