Description

Dibrugarh Airport, officially known as Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Airport, is a dual-use airport serving the city of Dibrugarh, Assam, India. It is located at Mohanbari, 15 km east of the city center. The airport was established in the early 1950s. While primarily serving as a domestic airport for civilian flights, it is also known as Mohanbari Air Force Station and is listed under the Indian Air Force's Eastern Air Command, indicating its military usage. The airport covers an area of 386 acres and has a runway capable of handling aircraft such as the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737. A new terminal building was opened in February 2009, designed to handle 500 passengers simultaneously.
