Description
Pathankot Airport, also known as Pathankot Air Force Station, is a regional airport located 3 km from Pathankot, Punjab, India. It was inaugurated on 21 November 2006 and serves domestic flights. The airport is owned by the Government of India and operated by the Airports Authority of India. The Pathankot Air Force Station, which is part of the Indian Air Force's Western Air Command, shares the main airport's runway. Commercial flights resumed at the airport on April 5, 2018, after a hiatus of nearly seven years. In May 2025, the Pathankot Air Force Station was claimed to be targeted by the Pakistan Armed Forces during the 2025 India-Pakistan conflict, however, satellite images subsequently showed intact runway and buildings at the base.
