Description
Phalodi Air Force Station, operated by the Indian Air Force, is located in Phalodi, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. It was commissioned in 2010, becoming the sixth Air Force Station in Rajasthan. The base is situated approximately 100 km from the international border with Pakistan, positioned between the Jaisalmer and Jodhpur airbases of the IAF. Covering an area of 4000 acres, the station is equipped with surveillance equipment and facilities for deep penetration aircraft. It includes a runway, aircraft maintenance area, administrative complex, and living accommodations for personnel. The base operates under the South Western Air Command. Squadron No. 2415 Air Defence Corps is stationed there, operating two batteries of the Akash SAM System.
