Veer Savarkar International Airport, formerly known as Port Blair Airport, is an international airport located 2 km south of Port Blair, India. It serves as the primary airport for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The airport operates as a civil enclave, sharing airside facilities with INS Utkrosh of the Indian Navy. The Indian Navy undertakes all air traffic operations over Port Blair, except for the civilian terminals which are operated by the Airports Authority of India. A new passenger terminal, completed in June 2023 and inaugurated on July 18, 2023, was constructed to handle increased traffic.
