Description
Punta Borinquén Radar Station is a military facility operated by the Puerto Rico Air National Guard. It is situated adjacent to Rafael Hernández Airport in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The station commenced operations in 1964 with the establishment of the 140th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron (ACWS) under the command of Air Defense Command (ADC). Currently, the facility serves as the home for the 141st Air Control Squadron. The site is characterized by the presence of an FAA radar tower. The station's primary function is related to air control and radar operations, supporting the broader mission of the Air National Guard in the region. It remains an active installation within the Puerto Rico National Guard's infrastructure.
