Description
Zhangye Ganzhou Airport is a dual-use military and civil airport located 24 kilometers from the city center of Zhangye, in Gansu Province, China. The facility was originally an air base. Construction to convert it into a dual-use airport commenced in May 2010, and it officially opened on 1 November 2011. The airport features one 3,000-meter runway with a concrete surface, classified as class 4C. It also includes a 4,126 square-meter terminal building and was designed to handle 243,000 passengers and 1,700 tons of cargo annually by 2020.
