Project 18280 intelligence ship attacked on 24 May 2023 by three Ukrainian MAGURA uncrewed surface vessels approximately 120 km northeast of the Bosporus Strait in the southwestern Black Sea. Naval News reported the ship sustained damage from the attack. Ivan Khurs, commissioned in 2018, is one of two Yury Ivanov-class signals intelligence vessels designed to intercept and analyze enemy communications and radar emissions. The 4,000-tonne ship remained in Sevastopol following the attack and was reportedly struck again during a missile strike on the port in March 2024.
