Description
Fifth Project 636.3 Improved Kilo-class diesel-electric submarine commissioned on 28 November 2023 at the Admiralty Shipyards in St. Petersburg. Assigned to the Pacific Fleet, Mozhaisk joined sister ships Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Volkhov, Magadan, and Ufa. Armed with Kalibr cruise missiles and torpedoes, the 3,950-tonne submarine will transit via internal waterways to the Russian Far East. One more boat, Yakutsk, remained under construction to complete the six-submarine Pacific Fleet series.
