Description
Yasen-M class (Project 885M) nuclear-powered cruise missile submarine commissioned on 11 December 2023 alongside SSBN Imperator Aleksandr III. Assigned to the Pacific Fleet, Krasnoyarsk is armed with 32 Kalibr, Oniks, or Zircon cruise missiles in vertical launch cells plus torpedoes. At 13,800 tonnes submerged, the Yasen-M is Russia's most advanced multipurpose attack submarine. Built at Sevmash in Severodvinsk, she was the fourth Yasen-class boat and third of the improved Yasen-M variant to enter service.
