Description
Admiral Gorshkov-class (Project 22350) frigate commissioned on 25 December 2023 and assigned to the Northern Fleet. Admiral Golovko is the third ship in the class and the first built with a fully Russian-manufactured propulsion system, replacing the Ukrainian-built gas turbines used in earlier units. The 5,400-tonne frigate is capable of carrying Zircon hypersonic anti-ship missiles, Kalibr cruise missiles, and Oniks anti-ship missiles in 16 vertical launch cells. She also carries the Poliment-Redut air defense system and Paket-NK anti-submarine torpedoes.
