Description
Ropucha-class (Project 775) large landing ship damaged on 24 March 2024 by a Ukrainian R-360 Neptune anti-ship missile at Sevastopol. Originally commissioned as a Ukrainian Navy vessel in 2002, Konstantin Olshansky was seized by Russian forces during the annexation of Crimea in March 2014 and incorporated into the Black Sea Fleet. Ukrainian sources described the ship as "disabled" following the strike. The irony of Ukraine striking a vessel it once operated was widely noted in reporting on the attack.
