Description
Commissioned on 1 August 2025 as the fourth and final planned Type 075 landing helicopter dock, assigned to the South Sea Fleet. Hubei carries pennant number 34, following Hainan (31), Guangxi (32), and Anhui (33). At 40,000 tonnes full displacement, the Type 075 can carry up to 30 helicopters and 900 marines, with a well deck for landing craft. Hubei's commissioning completes the initial Type 075 program and gives the PLAN four large amphibious assault ships, significantly enhancing power projection and expeditionary capabilities.
