China Luyang III Fleet Update

Commissioned on 1 January 2026, as confirmed by China Central Television footage broadcast the following day. Loudi is the 31st Type 052D (Luyang III-class) guided-missile destroyer and features a redesigned mast with a dual-face rotating active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, setting the latest batch apart from earlier variants. Displacing approximately 7,500 tonnes at full load, the Type 052D carries a 64-cell universal vertical launch system capable of firing HHQ-9B SAMs, YJ-18 anti-ship missiles, and CJ-10 land-attack cruise missiles.
