Description
Damaged in a U.S. Navy strike while anchored off Bandar Lengeh in the Persian Gulf on 8 March 2026 during Operation Epic Fury. Naval News identified the vessel as IRIS Haj Qasem through visual analysis of imagery circulated online, while noting that only this Shahid Soleimani-class corvette was visually confirmed among three vessels reportedly hit. The strike followed earlier losses in the class, including IRIS Shahid Soleimani and IRIS Shahid Sayyad Shirazi. The Shahid Soleimani class is an Iranian missile catamaran corvette design intended for high speed and reduced radar signature.
