Description
IRGCN missile corvette destroyed pier-side on 11 March 2026 by U.S. airstrike, with CENTCOM releasing video footage showing the vessel being struck. The Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis was a 300-tonne catamaran corvette with hull number PC313-01, commissioned in 2024 as the lead and only ship of its class. Half the size of the Shahid Soleimani-class corvettes, the vessel featured stealth design and was named after Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the Iraqi PMU deputy head assassinated alongside Qasem Soleimani in January 2020.
