Description
First of the Tuo Chiang-class batch 2 catamaran corvettes, delivered by Lungteh Shipbuilding at Yilan on 11 March 2026 in a low-profile handover ceremony. The second sub-batch features an upgraded Leonardo NA-30S Mk2 fire-control radar. Displacing around 685 tonnes and capable of 44 knots, Tan Chiang is armed with Hsiung Feng II and Hsiung Feng III anti-ship missiles, a 76 mm OTO Melara main gun, and Phalanx CIWS. Five batch 2 corvettes are planned for delivery between March and December 2026.
