Description
On February 6, 2025, the Ukrainian Air Force received its first batch of Mirage 2000-5 fighter jets from France, marking the introduction of a second Western aircraft type to its fleet. France has committed a total of six aircraft to bolster Ukrainian aerial capabilities. The Mirage 2000-5 is an air-superiority platform specifically upgraded for air-to-ground missions and electronic warfare defense. Technically, the jet features nine hardpoints and two 30mm cannons, supporting NATO-standard ordnance including Mica air-to-air missiles, SCALP cruise missiles, and AASM Hammer guided bombs. With a maximum speed exceeding Mach 2.2, these jets enhance Ukraine's precision strike capacity.
