Description
On May 28, 2025, the Netherlands became the first nation to complete its pledged delivery of F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft to the Ukrainian Air Force. This final transfer fulfills the Dutch commitment of 24 multirole fighters to the international coalition. These airframes are currently integrated into Ukraine’s air defense network to intercept cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles, while also performing precision strike missions against ground targets using Western-supplied munitions. This milestone significantly enhances Ukraine’s tactical aviation capabilities as the force transitions to Western platforms, operating the F-16 fleet alongside recently deployed French Mirage 2000-5F jets.
