Description
Three Iranian Air Force F-14A Tomcat fighters were destroyed on the ground at Shahid Babaei Air Base near Isfahan on 21 June 2025 during Israeli precision strikes. The IDF released footage showing munitions impacting the parked aircraft on the tarmac. At least one of the Tomcats appeared operational, parked under a camouflage net on a taxiway. This strike followed the earlier destruction of two F-14As at Mehrabad on 16 June, bringing total Tomcat losses to five. The continued targeting of Iran's iconic F-14 fleet carried both operational and symbolic significance, as these are the world's last operational Tomcats.
