Description
Two Iranian Air Force F-5E Tiger II light fighters were destroyed on the ground at Dezful Airport in Khuzestan Province on 22 June 2025 during Israeli Air Force strikes. The IDF published footage and confirmed the destruction of two F-5 fighter jets at the airport, alongside eight ballistic missile launchers. One of the F-5Es was believed to be combat-ready and armed with AIM-9 air-to-air missiles, making it likely the first operationally prepared Iranian Air Force fighter to be lost in the conflict. The strike also neutralized six launchers that were reportedly ready for immediate launch toward Israel.
