Description
The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) has finalized a contract with Airbus Helicopters for two additional H225 multi-role helicopters. These units will bolster the RTAF’s capabilities in search and rescue (SAR) and emergency medical services (EMS). This acquisition supplements an existing fleet of H225Ms, utilized since 2015 for combat search and rescue (CSAR) and troop transport. Known for its long-range, all-weather performance, the H225 platform integrates into a broader RTAF inventory that includes H135 training helicopters. Completion and maintenance work will be conducted by Thai Aviation Industries (TAI), ensuring local technical support for these advanced military assets.
