Description
Denmark has unveiled a $13.7 billion military investment plan through 2033, prioritizing air superiority and Arctic surveillance. The government will procure 16 additional F-35 stealth fighters, increasing its fleet to 43, and integrate Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) as "loyal wingmen." Significant funding is allocated for eight medium- and long-range missile-based air defense systems. Naval and Arctic enhancements include two new patrol vessels, a Greenland-based radar, and potential acquisition of Boeing P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft. Additionally, Denmark will purchase 44 new CV90 infantry fighting vehicles, supplementing an existing order of 115 units to modernize its ground forces.
