Description
Indonesia received its first Airbus A400M on 3 November 2025 at Halim Air Force Base in Jakarta, marking the country's entry as the tenth operator of the type. Airbus said the aircraft would be operated by the Indonesian Air Force and configured for cargo lift, troop transport, MEDEVAC, humanitarian missions and aerial refuelling. The delivery followed handover from Airbus in Seville and was presented publicly in Jakarta. It was the first of two A400Ms ordered by Indonesia in 2021, with the second aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2026. The new transport expands long-range lift and multi-role support capacity across the archipelago.
