Description
On December 23, 2025, a Dassault Falcon 50 carrying a high-level Libyan military delegation crashed near Ankara, Turkey, killing Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Mohammed Ali Ahmed al-Haddad and several senior commanders. The aircraft departed Esenboga Airport but reported an electrical fault 40 minutes into the flight. Preliminary findings by Turkish authorities indicate a technical failure led to the crash near Kesikkavak. The delegation was in Ankara for strategic defense talks aimed at enhancing military cooperation, occurring shortly after the Turkish parliament approved a two-year extension for military forces deployed in Libya.
