Ukraine Mi-24 Fleet Update

A Mi-24 helicopter (registration 117 Black) of the 11th Separate Army Aviation Brigade "Kherson" was lost during a combat mission intercepting Russian Geran unmanned strike drones on February 9. The pilot, gunner, and flight technician were all killed. The pilot in command, Yevhen Halytskyi, was a veteran of the War in Donbass who had participated in Ukraine's 2021 Independence Day aerial parade. The brigade described the loss as an enormous tragedy, stating the crew "loved the sky and Ukraine."
