Description
On the evening of February 20, Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted a drone strike on Pugachevka airfield near the village of Pugachevka in Russia's Oryol Region. The attack destroyed a Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopter (board number 18) belonging to the 16th Army Aviation Brigade, based in Zernograd, Rostov Region. The helicopter had been deployed to the forward operating base for reconnaissance and strike missions as well as intercepting Ukrainian long-range drones. The strike was part of a broader Ukrainian campaign targeting Russian aviation assets at forward airfields deep inside Russian territory.
