Description
Three Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Antonov An-74 Coaler short-takeoff transport aircraft were destroyed at Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran during a coordinated Israeli airstrike on the night of March 7, 2026. The An-74s were parked on the military apron alongside other IRGC transport assets. The losses were identified from commercial satellite imagery that emerged in the days following the strike. The attack on Mehrabad targeted both IRIAF and IRGC aircraft, also destroying three Boeing 747 cargo planes, three Ilyushin Il-76 transports, two Boeing 707 tankers, and a Harbin Y-12 light transport. The loss of all three An-74s eliminated the IRGC entire fleet of the type.
