Description
Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, in coordination with military intelligence (GUR), struck Kirovske airfield in occupied Crimea overnight on April 2. The precision strike destroyed a Russian An-72P maritime patrol aircraft along with four Orion reconnaissance and strike UAVs and a P-37 radar station. The airfield served as a hub for launching and maintaining Orion-class drones. The strike was carried out using Ukrainian-made FP-2 weapons. This was the fourth Russian military aircraft lost in four days following the An-26 crash, Su-34 loss, and Su-30SM crash.
