Description

Banja Luka Air Base is the military component of Banja Luka International Airport at Mahovljani, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Construction of the airport began in 1976, and after the Bosnian War it gained a new strategic role while continuing civilian operations. It is one of the operating bases of Bosnia and Herzegovina's air force and hosts the 1st Helicopter Squadron, the Early Warning and Surveillance Battalion, and flight support detachments.
