Description

Łask Air Base, designated as the 32nd Air Base (32. Baza Lotnicza), is located near Łask, approximately 30 km southwest of Łódź, Poland. The airfield was constructed in 1957, and the current base unit was formed in 2001 to manage site infrastructure and personnel.

The facility is operated by the Polish Air Force and serves as a station for F-16 Fighting Falcons. The 10th Tactical Squadron is the primary unit assigned to the base. Since November 2012, a United States Air Force detachment has been permanently stationed at the installation.

The base functions as one of two locations for Polish F-16 operations, with the aircraft first arriving at the site in October 2008. The 10th Tactical Squadron operates a squadron of these fighters. The force is nuclear-capable and has participated in NATO nuclear exercises. In addition to permanent units, the base hosts rotating personnel and aircraft for periodic training exercises. Previous plans to adapt the airfield for civilian airliner use were abandoned following the expansion of the nearby Łódź Władysław Reymont Airport.
