Description
Millerovo is an air base located in Millerovsky District, Rostov Oblast, Russia. It is owned by the Ministry of Defence and operated by the Russian Aerospace Forces, under the control of the 4th Air and Air Defence Forces Army, Southern Military District. The base has been in use since an unknown date and remains active. As of 2022, the 31st Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment, equipped with Sukhoi Su-30SM aircraft, is stationed at Millerovo. The 368th Assault Aviation Regiment, operating Sukhoi Su-25 aircraft, also deployed to Millerovo as part of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the air base was reportedly attacked by Ukrainian forces on 25 February 2022 with Tochka-U ballistic missiles, though official confirmation was not provided. On the night of 19-20 July 2024, the air base was again targeted by Ukrainian drones, with reports of explosions and fires near the runway and airport apron.
