Description

Pula Airport is located 6 km from the city center of Pula in northwestern Croatia. Initially established for military use, the facility transitioned to civilian operations on 1 May 1967. A terminal building was constructed between 1987 and 1989. The airport serves the Istria region and is designated as an alternative airfield for parts of Slovenia.

The facility is operated by Pula Airport Ltd. and functions as an international entry point for Istria and the Brijuni National Park. It handles domestic and international traffic from various European carriers. The site also serves as a location for flight training during winter months.

Infrastructure consists of a single terminal building with a capacity of one million passengers per year. The airport supports various aircraft types, including the Airbus A320-series, Boeing 737-series, and Boeing 787. Boarding and disembarkation are conducted via pedestrian access or bus transfers, as the terminal does not utilize jet bridges.
