Lead ship of the FDI (Frégate de Défense et d'Intervention) class, delivered by Naval Group at Brest on 17 October 2025. The 4,500-tonne multi-mission frigate is designed for high-intensity anti-air, anti-surface, and anti-submarine warfare. After arriving at her homeport of Brest on 19 September 2025, the vessel entered an operational trials phase before a long-duration deployment in January 2026 across the North Sea, North Atlantic, and Mediterranean. The FDI programme will deliver five frigates to replace the La Fayette class.
