Description
Commissioned on 16 December 2025 in a ceremony at Saint Petersburg led by Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Alexander Moiseyev. Third submarine of Project 677 Lada class, built at Admiralty Shipyards after years of delays and six missed delivery deadlines. Measuring 66.8 metres with a crew of 35 and endurance of 45 days, Velikiye Luki features advanced acoustic protection and next-generation sonar. Armed with six 533 mm torpedo tubes capable of launching torpedoes, mines, or Oniks missiles. Assigned to the Northern Fleet alongside sister boats Sankt Peterburg and Kronshtadt.
