Description
Destroyed by Israeli airstrikes at the port of Bandar Anzali on the evening of 18 March 2026, as part of the first IDF strikes on Iran's Caspian Sea fleet during Operation Rising Lion. Paykan was one of four Sina-class fast attack craft assigned to the Northern Fleet. Commissioned in 2003, she was the lead ship of her class in the Caspian and had participated in multiple flag missions to Russian and Azerbaijani ports. The IDF stated the missile boats possessed anti-aircraft and anti-submarine capabilities that could threaten Israeli aircraft operating over Iran.
