Description
Destroyed by Israeli airstrikes at the port of Bandar Anzali on the evening of 18 March 2026, in the first IDF strikes targeting Iran's northern coast. Derafsh was a Sina-class fast attack craft assigned to the Northern Fleet. Launched in 2008 and commissioned around 2009, she was the third Sina-class vessel deployed to the Caspian. The unprecedented Israeli strike expanded the war's maritime arena beyond the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz, reaching the Caspian Sea for the first time.
