Sweden GlobalEye Fleet Update

On January 10, 2025, the Swedish Air Force expanded its strategic capabilities with an order for three additional GlobalEye Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft. Designated as the S 106 in Swedish service, this multi-domain platform features advanced active and passive sensors designed for long-range detection and identification of targets across air, sea, and land. The GlobalEye provides critical real-time situational awareness and early warning capabilities, facilitating integrated operations between air, ground, and naval forces. This acquisition significantly strengthens Sweden’s national defense infrastructure, providing a sophisticated surveillance and command-and-control solution to counter evolving regional threats.
