France GlobalEye Fleet Update

France’s Direction générale de l'armement (DGA) has signed a declaration of intent to procure Saab’s GlobalEye Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft. The agreement covers the initial purchase of two aircraft with an option for two additional units, including ground equipment, training, and support. The GlobalEye is a multi-domain platform featuring advanced active and passive sensors for long-range detection and identification across air, land, and sea. This procurement aims to bolster the French Armed Forces' situational awareness and threat detection while maintaining sovereign control of airborne surveillance. A final contract is expected in the coming months.
