Description
Eight Iranian Army Aviation AH-1J SeaCobra attack helicopters were destroyed on the ground at Kermanshah Air Base in western Iran on 18 June 2025 during Israeli Air Force strikes. The IDF initially reported destroying five helicopters in a morning strike, then announced three additional kills later that day. According to Israeli military officials, the helicopters were preparing for deployment against Israeli aircraft operating in Iranian airspace. The loss of eight attack helicopters in a single strike represented a severe blow to Iranian Army Aviation's rotary-wing combat capability. The strike was part of the broader Twelve-Day War campaign.
