Description
An Israeli Air Force strike destroyed an Iranian Air Force KC-707-3J9C aerial refueling tanker on the ground at Mashhad Airport in northeast Iran, approximately 2,300 km from Israel. The IAF confirmed the attack was the most distant strike since the beginning of the operation. The tanker, one of Iran's few remaining aerial refueling assets, represented a critical capability for redeploying fighter aircraft across the country. The strike demonstrated Israel's deep-strike capability and its intent to systematically degrade Iran's air force logistics infrastructure during the Twelve-Day War.
