Description
On December 17, 2025, the Indian Army received its final batch of three AH-64E Apache attack helicopters from the United States, completing the fleet of six aircraft for the 451 Army Aviation Squadron stationed at Nagtalao base in Rajasthan. The delivery concludes a contract signed in February 2020 worth approximately ₹5,691 crore. These desert-camouflaged Apaches are distinct from the 22 aircraft operated by the Indian Air Force. The deliveries faced over 15 months of delays due to supply chain constraints and technical issues. The Apaches significantly enhance the Indian Army's offensive capabilities along the western border.
