Description
A USAF precision strike destroyed an Iranian Air Force C-130H Hercules transport aircraft on the ground at Kerman's Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani Airport in southeastern Iran. The aircraft was one of three military planes destroyed at the airport as part of the systematic campaign to dismantle Iran's air logistics capability. CENTCOM released strike footage on March 11 showing the C-130 being hit by precision-guided munitions while parked on the apron. The loss further degrades Iran's already diminished military airlift capacity, with the Hercules fleet having already suffered losses at Shiraz airport earlier in the conflict.
