Description
A new KC-46A Pegasus aerial refueling aircraft was delivered to McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas, on April 3, 2026, becoming the 25th KC-46A assigned to the 22nd Air Refueling Wing. McConnell AFB operates the largest KC-46A fleet in the United States Air Force. The delivery came as the USAF accelerates the transition from the legacy KC-135 Stratotanker fleet to the KC-46A, a program that has gained urgency following combat losses of tanker aircraft during Operation Epic Fury in the Middle East.
